Course description

Participants work with easy texts and exercises, the aim of which is to acquire a basic knowledge of Swedish grammar and vocabulary, which will enable them to handle the most common communicative situations. Emphasis is also placed on pronunciation and oral communication skills.
The course is held in Swedish but, if necessary, English may be used for instruction and explanation purposes.

Objectives

Ability to speak and write about everyday life with a limited vocabulary.
Understanding straightforward Swedish spoken at a normal speed.
Pronouncing Swedish in a way that aids communication.
Reading and understanding easy texts.
Acquiring a solid knowledge of basic Swedish grammar.

These objectives correspond to level A1of the Common European Framework of Reference for language learning teaching and assessment.
