Prior Swedish language competence

Objectives of level 1 (level A1/A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for language learning teaching and assessment).

Course description

Course participants work with different types of texts and exercises the object of which is to enhance their knowledge of grammar and increase their word power. The goal is to improve their communication skills in real life situations.
The course focuses on oral and written language training.
Discussion exercises also aim to put into practice oral expression and listening comprehension.
Improving participants’ pronunciation and intonation are further course objectives.

Objectives

Being able to participate in discussions about general issues.
Written expression regarding various specific subjects.
Understanding the gist of newspaper articles and being able to read authentic texts.
Comprehension of the main contents of radio and television programmes when presented in a relatively straightforward way.
Good command of basic Swedish grammar.

These objectives correspond to level B1 of the Common European Framework of language assessment.

Language test

Please register for the level that corresponds best to your competence level.
All students will also have to pass our language test, which is designed to evaluate students present language competence and group students accordingly.
After we have received your application, a language test will be sent to you via e-mail.
